Born in 1953 in Brighton, England, I learned to play the piano from an early age, and over the years took all the ABRSM grades, passing grade 8 with distinction.

In 1975 I gained a BA in Music at Southampton University where I studied under the British composer, Jonathan Harvey, who was a lecturer there at the time. I loved choral music and sang in the University choir.

Despite having had ME for many years now, I have managed to stay involved in music, teaching my two daughters and composing songs for 'Bel Canto', a local amateur choir in Macclesfield. It brings me great joy to hear my music performed and brought to life.
